WHERE ARE WE?

Climb Assynt is based on the shores of Loch Assynt, nestled bellow the majestic Cuinneag mountain range. 40mins north of Ullapool in the North West of Scotland, Our home is a land of hill and moorland littered with crags and lochs, guarded by iconic mountain peaks such as Suilven and Stac Polaidh which rise out of the moorland like islands.
Assynt literally translates from Gaelic as ‘rocky place’ and as it’s name suggests it is a climbers paradise! The landscape and environment here is increadibly unique and varied. With several different rock types in such a small area it offers an unusually wide range of climbing experiences; and is known as the gem of British geology for its unique and historical geology. What better way to get to know this land of rock than go rock climbing!
At climb Assynt we can offer abseiling and climbing at spectacular seaside crags, gorges and waterfalls; or one of the many and varied cliffs that make up the landscape of Assynt – there is an endless range of climbing experiences to be had in this outstanding setting.
